"Souryadeep Bhattacharyya is an accomplished sarod virtuoso and a premier Gandabandhan disciple of the legendary Pandit Alok Lahiri. His artistry is deeply rooted in the traditions of the Maihar, Shahjahanpur, and Gwalior gharanas, seamlessly blending their influences into soulful and technically brilliant renditions. Souryadeep’s performances capture the timeless beauty of Hindustani classical music, captivating audiences worldwide.

Souryadeep’s accolades include being a National Gold Medalist in Instrumental Music, a B-High Grade artist with All India Radio, and an empaneled artist with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Government of India. In addition to his traditional performances, Souryadeep served as Creative Director for IndianRaga’s acclaimed ""Raga Trilogy"", where he explored innovative approaches to Indian classical music for global audiences. His collaborations with world music groups like World Music America and Catalpa further highlight his versatility and openness to blending traditional and contemporary genres.

Currently based in San Jose, California, Souryadeep represents the sarod on global platforms with performances that honor tradition while embracing innovation. His musical journey reflects a commitment to excellence, cultural reverence, and the universal power of music.
