The Morgan Harrison Quartet:
“It's time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
For one night, and one night only, some of the Bay Area’s best and brightest young improvisers take the stage at Wyldflowr Arts to create something great. Led by Sacramento-Native, Morgan Harrison, the Morgan Harrison Quartet features some of the most creative and imaginative individuals San Francisco has to offer. There is nothing like hearing four musicians who truly understand one another, musically. With the band consisting of the acrobatic and strong Ayden Johnson - powerful and steady, yet exploratory Alan Jones - and the driving and inspired Miles Turk, the Morgan Harrison Quartet stands ready to express the joy that music can create.
Morgan Harrison, the quartet’s leader, takes inspiration from all over. Compositionally taking notes and inspiration from Wayne Shorter, Charles Mingus, Herbie Hancock, Jaco Pastorius, John Coltrane, Alice In Chains, Daft Punk, Nirvana, as well as all other manner of artist, Morgan creates something truly special every time he takes the stage. Called “swinging” by the great Kenny Barron, Morgan is always excited to tear the house down.
This will be one of Morgan's shows in the Bay Area before relocating to Los Angeles. While WyldFlowr is one of the stops on his “farewell tour,” he has made sure to create special setlists, music, and new musical moments for each and every one, showing a great amount of love and gratitude for each and every venue that has helped him share his vision with the world.
Come be a part of the experience, come hear music created just for you, and come enjoy the Morgan Harrison Quartet. July 6th at WyldFlowr Arts, 7:00 PM
